:D
I'm Robert I've had my Dell Axim X30 for about a year now. I love it to death, I finally shelved my Franklin Day Planner! It has been quite the learning curve however, what programs to download, what works, what bites and what will hose your system ( I've re-installed several times)! I just started using Pocket Informant Pro 2005, I highly recomend it to anyone. It makes your system function more in line with the desktop Outlook. If I can scrape up the cash I'll upgrade to the Axim X50. I'm anxiously awaiting the release of Windows Mobile 2005. I wish they had these things when I was a young man in sales, sure would have simplified my life.

[Life is but a means to which death can be avoided.]

hello guys! i really am glad to be ableto find this "ikonboard" as you call it. I just got a hand me down Tungsten E and i am so glad to have it. except i stil have to learn a lot to maximize its features. I get rid of my small notebook that i use for anything and everything. My only problem with this unit is the battery life; five games of scrabble and its warning me that my battery is low.

Howdy,

I just received a Siemens SX66 as a birthday gift.  The mobiletechreview website is helping me get an idea of all the things I can do with this device for a start with what all is available. This looks like a great site as well. Aparently, I am loved very much getting a toy like this. As a college student and business developer of an IT firm, I am overjoyed with the practicality of the SX66. :D

I have Microsoft ActiveSync downloaded on my PC and synchronized my P/PC with my PC.  Already moved a contact data spreadsheet on to my mobile device and scheduling up the contact and calender as well.  :p  Organizing my academic and vocational life has become so much better.  Movies, music, games and digital photos not to mention an interntet connection and all that goes with it.  This is unreal!

The options with new terminology and technology has me puzzled still   I have a vonage phone line (a VoIP line) and am still researching how I may utilize the SX66 with this. I have a virtual number and want to utilize this as I am at the airport, coffee shop or University often and want to take advantage of any WiFi I may pick up in such places.

Suggestions welcome.  Didn't notice any topics like this yet.

Thanks Greg & all

Greetings all.

I have an IPAQ 1910 that keeps me organized.  Just recently switched jobs and have not had a big use for it, but I did keep it synced up to remember appointments, jot notes on and keep important info stored.

Hi folks!
It seems very quiet here... Where has everybody been?

I'm Sammy from Cambodia, but I'm now in France for my "Research Master" degree. I speak english, french and Khmer.

I own O2 xda mini black edition. I've been playing around with this little thing awhile and I'm wondering if anyone out there know if there's a possibility to browse ASP pages with this device?
I know it's not where I should post my question, but well :D Thought someone could drop a few lines to help ...

Regards,

Sammy

Hi Folks,

I bought my first PDA back in the early days of the original
PalmPilot, which I replaced with a Sony Clie some years back.

Two weeks ago I switched to an IPAQ hx4700 - with the big screen. So am having to learn the Pocket OS.

Use it for work for the calendar and contacts and to bridge the gap between the laptop and mobile.

I work for a multi-national so if anyone knows of a good today plugin that displays multiple timezone clocks I'd be hugely grateful.

Ta.

Hello to all,
My name is Kevin. I have just obtained an IPAQ Mobile PC model # 2490 and I want to install some software to this baby (videos, music, games, bill tracker, gps..) but I am not privy to which would be some of the better programs and different options to execute these installations.
I just want to utilize this cool toy to suit my needs to the max! I would be grateful for any help that anyone can offer this newbie.
Thanks in Advance,

My name is Mike. My Pocket PC useage goes back about 10 years to my first Windows CE Compaq C-140. I've gone through a few others, and currently have a Dell X-51 and a Motorola smartphone. I'm also  considering a PPC phone just to combine the two devices and have one less device and charger to carry. Some of the applications I use the most are Windows Reader and Media player, E-mail, browser, and calculator.

Hi, Tonya here from Texas. I have owned an ipaq 1945 for a few months and can't live without it. I'm ready to upgrade and can't stop thinking about the Dell Axim X50. I love HP products, but that Dell processor is exciting. I just Googled and found this site and I'm thrilled. Hope to make some ppc buddies so I can learn more about my best friend. My husband's not as thrilled with my fondness for the ipaq and can't understand the affinity I have for it. Mainly, it's the calendar and the address book I use, but MahJong definitely kills a lot of boring moments.

Seeing as the BBS seems ok and I have over 30 people registered, please use this thread to introduce yourself, and let's get this forum going!

I'll start! ;)

I've owned PocketPCs since the very first Windows CE device, I had a B&W Palm before that but have never looked back since owning that first chunky colour Compaq Aero (I think!)

I started pocketpcsoft.net when the iPAQ was announced as I was finding it difficult to locate software for it.

I use my iPAQ daily, I currently have a 2210.

I have an HP 2215 and I use it as mostly a glorified MP3 player.  I bought a car stereo with an input jack just so I could hook my PDA up to it without wirelessly connecting.  I also use my PDA to be generally annoying if I'm bored (such as turning off the stupid, loud tv as one would walk into Sams), changing settings on the TV at the doctors' office if my kids are having a hard time hearing, or if they're bothered by the FOX news junk.  Oh yeah, my wife puts grocery lists on it for me and I manage my contacts, bills, pictures, and a bunch of other stuff.
